AWW7: Toward Water Security and Safe Sanitation for Africa

The seventh AWW was convened from October 15th – 19th 2018 and hosted by the Government of the Republic of Gabon, represented by the country’s Ministry of Petroleum, Energy and Water Resources. AWW-7 theme was “Toward Water Security and Safe Sanitation for Africa”. The focus to strengthen capacity to safeguard sustainable access to adequate quantities of acceptable quality water for sustaining livelihoods, human well-being, and socio-economic development. Particularly against water-borne pollution and water-related disasters, and for preserving ecosystems in a climate of peace and political stability. (UN-Water, 2013).
